Cool Places in Texas: Inner Space Caverns, Georgetown TX

This was where Katie's 2nd grade went yesterday. It's an amazing place to see. The small things hanging from the ceiling in the first and second pictures are called soda straws (and they're actually hollow in the middle just like a drinking straw). The little guy in the third picture is a small bat that was hanging just overhead. He and his buddies are Eastern Pipistrelle bats, the smallest variety in Texas and second smallest in North America.

I highly recommend a visit, particularly for ages 6+.
